THE SEXUAL TENSION IN DA LAST SCENE THO
I LOVED THE CAPTAIN AMERICA CAMEO. Like, whatever, okay, I know it’s because CA2 is the next movie coming out, so that’s the natural choice, which doesn’t have anything to do with the story on a narrative level.
AND YET IT’S PERFECT??? Because, like, Steve is so much of what I see as Loki’s issues with the people around him—big and giant and made of muscles (and blond even) and direct and honest and genuine and his way of fighting is beating things up directly. While Steve’s not the perfect Asgardian ideal, he’s certainly QUITE A LOT OF IT, so it makes sense that Loki casts his glamour over himself to look like the one Avenger that’s most like what he thinks Asgard wants/what he most has issues with.
He’s mocking the righteousness, the truth and honor, the loyalty of this character. AND YOU KNOW WHO ELSE IS RIGHTEOUS, TRUTHFUL, HONORABLE, AND LOYAL?
That guy who interupts Loki’s little shit theatrics and slams him up against a pillar, the moment he touches Loki’s skin, the glamour starts fading, THAT’S WHO.
